That's how you create steam for a jet or piston engine. When it comes to turbine engines, the process is somewhat different. This type of flue gas system sprays the flue gas through a nozzle several inches from the turbine blade. Air flow and shear forces create fine mist into the exhaust pipe, producing air quality smoke.
