We are looking for an exchange in Boston/Cambridge, MA, in May/June 2022. We are in our mid-60s (I am an academic art librarian/editor) with our daughter and son-in-law (teaching at MIT). in Cambridge. We need a base for three weeks while we are there. We offer a spacious, comfortable and quiet 4-bedroom Victorian home in a cul-de-sac of similar houses (no through traffic) on three floors, with a lush secluded garden, lovely helpful neighbors and a lively community, close fast tube. (several options) and overground transport to central London, museums, galleries, British Library, etc. Hampstead is a 15-minute overground journey from Acton Central Station, a 5-minute walk from us, and Richmond 10 minutes in the opposite direction. Buses stop a minute away at the end of the street. Getting to/from Heathrow Airport is easy. You can park outside the house, A fantastic new independent cinema (with artisan gelato to die for) is a few minutes' walk away, and there are riverside walks in Kew Gardens, Richmond Park and Holland Park/Gardens Kensington close by. There are parks at both ends of the street and shops, cafes, bakeries and wine bars a short walk away. Our style is artsy, bookish and elegant, has modern facilities, fast Wi-Fi, good bathroom and a well-equipped kitchen / dining room (we love to cook) with space for cooking and eating and chatting, and French doors to. the garden, where there is a shaded seating area. There are 4 bicycles (adults) for use. (You can cycle to Notting Hill / Hyde Park from our place in 15-20 minutes). We have a piano and a large collection of books.
